The Truth about Your Countertop & Faucet Water Filters
Your Water Filter May Not Be Fully Protecting You! Do you know that most carbon water filters, which includes majority of counter-top, faucet and pitcher water filters on the market, are ineffective when facing many modern day tap water contaminants? These filters, though perform pretty well in removing chlorine, particles such as sediment, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), taste and odor, are not as functioning as they face the following contaminants… They DO NOT remove Arsenic, Fluoride, or Bacteria... Dangerous contaminants such asarsenic, asbestos, bacteria, chromium, fluoride, microbes, nitrates, perchlorate, radium, uranium and human viruses can cause illness, cancer and death. Most counter-top, faucet and whole house filters use carbon filtration only and will not remove any of these dangerous contaminants from your tap water. They DO NOT remove harmful inorganic minerals... Inorganic minerals in water can cause all kinds of health problems including gallstones, kidney stones, bone & joint calcification, arthritis, and hardening and blocking of our arteries. While most of these 'rocks' are benign, some inorganic minerals are radioactive and others toxic, making them completely unsuitable for human consumption. Our bodies cannot properly absorb these foreign substances and prefers safe organic minerals from food which are easily absorbed and superior for our health. Most countertop, faucet and pitcher filters are carbon water filters that will not remove any of these harmful inorganic minerals. They DO NOT remove pharmaceutical drugs... Tap water may contain traces of prescription drugs including antibiotics,anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones. These drugs are particularly dangerous to infants, children and young adults who are still in their developmental stage. Unfortunately, the number of new drugs that find their way into our water supply increases every week and most countertop and faucet filters will not remove many of these drugs from your drinking water.
